Bobby Ralph Cawthon, 78, and Evelyn E. Babbitt Cawthon, 81, residents of Kerrville passed from this life surrounded by family on July 20, 2016 and August 3, 2016, respectively. Bob was born June 2, 1938 to Morgan Ralph and Maxie Hennessee Cawthon of Roscoe and Evelyn to Percy Delos and Dorothy Warner Babbitt of Norwich, CT on December 27, 1934. Bob and Evelyn met at the US Naval Base in Groton, CT and, shortly after Bob's honorable discharge, were married on April 21, 1959. After 21 years with the US Department of Justice, Bob finally retired from his post as a Deputy US Marshal in Waco in 1995. After retirement they moved once again to build their dream home in the rolling hills around Burgess Falls, TN. Later they returned to Texas to be closer to family, settling first in Terrell and then finally in Kerrville. Bob was predeceased by both his parents; brother, Morgan Eugene Cawthon of Manchester, TN; and two sisters, Marie Johnson and Ruth Kilburn, of Seymore, TN. Evelyn was predeceased by both her parents and brother, Edgar Balcome Babbitt of Norwich, CT. Both are survived by their sons, Morgan Ralph Cawthon of Abita Springs, LA, Randy Wayne Cawthon of Kerrville and Guy Morris Whetstone III of Kissimmee, FL; daughter, Sherrie Lynn Whetstone Cawthon Andrew of Winston-Salem, NC; and grandchildren, Morgan Alexis Cawthon, Brooke Madison Cawthon, Joe Hackeman Cawthon II, Kimberlyn Adele Cawthon, Guy Morris Whetstone IV, and Nicholas Warner Andrew.
