Cleo Pat Thompson

Cleo "Pat" Marie Thompson, 99, of Medina, Texas passed away on August 13,2016 in Kerrville. She was born Feb. 01, 1917 in Chatham, Illinois to Fred Butler and Ivy Miller-Butler. Pat married Max Thompson Sr on December 24, 1938 in Chatham. He passed away on January 09, 2008. They resided, farmed and raised their children in Schuyler and Cass counties in Illinois and lastly Beardstown before retiring to Medina in 1970. Pat studied Home Economics earning a Bachelor's of Science degree from the University of Illinois. Over the years, she enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, gardening, quilting, sewing and craft projects of all kinds. She also was a parent volunteer in the 4-H club, attending and volunteered in the Methodist Church, spending time with her family and drinking coffee with friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Max Thompson and son Max Thompson Jr. Pat is survived by her loving daughter, Marilyn J. Fox and husband Larry of Medina. Survivors also include, granddaughter, Kelly Buhs of Burlington, Iowa; grandson, Larry (Heather) Fox of Washington, IL; great grandchildren, Jacob Buhs, Matthew Buhs, Elizabeth Buhs, Carter Fox and Casey Fox. She will be loved and missed by many other family members and dear friends. No formal services are planned at this time- private family arrangements pending.
