Edna West Rives

Edna West Rives, 93 yrs. 7 mo., went to be with the Lord and her friends on September 25, 2016 in Kerrville. She was born to Jesse Eugene West and Sofia Guerra West on February 23, 1923 at Cuevitas Ranch, Texas. Edna married the love of her life Charles Offer Rives on March 14, 1943 in New Orleans, LA. They lived in many different places before settling in Kenedy to raise their 2 sons, retired to Zapata for 20 years before moving to Ingram. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Offer Rives; her mother, Sofia G. West; her father, Eugene West; brothers, Walter and George West and sister Stella West Buchanan. She is survived by her 2 sons, Chick (Kathy) Rives of Ingram and Andy (Joyce) Rives of Panna Maria; 6 grandchildren, Chelsey (Chris) Young of Dallas, Ashlea (Jay) Frank of Melbourne, FL, Sarah (Andrew) Fossum of Austin, Stacey (Matt) Spillers of Austin, and Dr. Charles (Kristi) Rives of Greenville, NC and Stephany Rives of San Antonio; 5 great grandchildren, Charles W. Rives, Chloe H. Rives and Emree P. Rives, Lucille Frank and Gus Frank; her older sister, Alma West Young-Bedford of Texas. She also leaves behind numerous nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces too numerous to name.
