JoAnn Cade Obituary

JoAnn Miears Cade, known to the family as Mom, Granny or Gigi, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 21, 2016. She was 80 years young at the time of her passing. Her passion for family, her love of baking and her enthusiasm while watching "wrastlin'" will be deeply missed by all who knew her. JoAnn's strong relationship with the Lord, her loving heart and kind spirit will be remembered by all whose life she touched. She was born in Fredericksburg, Texas, on Dec. 21, 1935, to William and Edna Miears, and she graduated from Tivy High School in 1954. In March of 1959, she married Charlie Cade. They had 58 gifted years together and spent much of their time traveling around the United States as Charlie was in the Air Force for 20 years. Soon they were blessed with two wonderful children in Debbie and Dale. No matter where her husband was stationed, JoAnn was active in the local church community, whether it was creating the weekly programs, organizing a potluck or helping a member in need, she was always ready to lend a helping hand. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, William and Edna Miears; and her sister, Pat McNatt. She is survived by her husband, Charlie Cade; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Glenn Meadows of Round Rock; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Beth Cade of Comfort; along with eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her sisters. Lorraine Thomas and Nova Sahtout; and a brother and his wife, Gary and Kathy Miears. Our lives are a little less bright with her passing, but we take comfort in knowing that she is with her Heavenly Father.
