Marlin Wayne Decker, 73, passed away on Friday, Oct. 28, 2016 in San Antonio, TX. He was born Oct. 20, 1943 in Newton, KS to Gladys (Holmes) and Glenn Decker. Marlin spent his early years in Burns, KS and graduated for the local high school. Marlin married the love of his life, Rose Larsen on Sept 01, 1963 at the Burns Methodist Church. He spent most of his adult life in Newton, KS then moving to Katy, TX, where he owned a stainless welding company. Marlin and Rose retired to the Texas Hill Country area in 2012. He enjoyed motorcycle touring, racing cars and owned a '29 Model A Ford Street Rod. Other hobbies of Marlin's were target shooting and coyote hunting. Marlin is survived by his loving wife, Rose A. Decker of Ingram, TX; son Wayne Decker and fiancé Emily of Ingram, TX; daughters, Darlene King of Rockport, TX and Peggy Myers of Spring Valley, Ca; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. sister Marjorie Chambers of Katy, TX.; brother Nolan Decker and wife Chanda of Enid, OK. Memorial service will be 10 am, Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016 at the Burns Methodist Church, Burns, KS. In lieu of flower, memorials can be made to the charity of your choice.
