Michael Jacob Brooke

Michael Jacob Brooke, 60, loving husband of Virginia (Ginny) (née Williams), went to be with his Lord, entering into his eternal rest, Wednesday, Jan 24th, 2018 at the VA Hospital in Kerrville, Texas after a long illness. Born November 5th, 1957 in Wurzburg, Germany to the late Edward S Brooke of Philadelphia, PA and the late Hermine Maria Brooke (née Glogowski) of Romania. Michael graduated from Kendrick High School in Columbus, Georgia with his Air Force service beginning April 24, 1979 through Dec 31, 1992 with assignments at Andrews AFB, MD; Myrtle Beach AFB, SC; Moody AFB, GA; Clear AFS, AK; Kessler AFB, MS, Shemya AFB, AK and Maxwell AFB, AL. Michael and Ginny relocated to San Antonio in 1994 where he spent many years active at St Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church until his declining health prevented it. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Ginny Brooke of San Antonio, his brother Edward G. Brooke in Columbus, GA and aunts and uncles and cousins in Austria and in Pennsylvania and Florida and his and Ginny's beloved kitties Scamper, Bella, Marmalade and Sweet Pea. His sister Annemarie B. Brooke and his parents preceded him in death. Michael will be laid to rest at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
