Philip McKeon, II, passed away on September 11, 2016 from complications after a fall. He was born in Laredo on November 22, 1919, where he also attended school. He married Dorothy Patterson in 1942 in Wichita Falls and they had four children. He was a WWII veteran who served as a nose gunner in a B24. Philip owned and operated Felipe's Carpet Company in Laredo for 42 years. He was active as both a Boy Scout leader and member of the Laredo Kiwanis Club. He and his wife moved to Kerrville in 1990 to be closer to their children. He was active in spite of his 96 years, and could be seen driving his electric wheel chair to Wal-Mart from Three Hills Mobile Home Park, as well as attending City Council Meetings to express his views. He also loved family reunions, eating out, fishing, gardening, painting, his dog Chiquita and telling stories of his long life. His wife preceded him in death in 2013, and son in law, Bob Randle in 2010. He is survived by his four children, Philip (Jeanne Marie) McKeon and James (Joyce Ann) McKeon of San Antonio, Irma "Joyce" Randle and Judy Ashcraft (Jerry Best) of Kerrville; his six grandchildren, Philip (Chip) McKeon, Betsy Hampton, James McKeon, Tabetha Moore, Andrew Randel and Patrick Randel and one great grandchild, Philip "Monty" McKeon.
