Billie Stricker Obituary

Billie Lynn Stricker, 61, was welcomed to the Kingdom of Heaven on February 28th, 2017. She demonstrated exceptional strength and grace through a long battle with cancer and is now at peace with her Savior. Billie was born September 16, 1955 in Midland Texas to William Floyd Smith and Lillie Mae Smith. She later lived in Ruidoso, New Mexico where she married her husband Willie Stricker. Soon after, they settled in Pipe Creek, where they have lived for almost 40 years. Her steadfast and unshakable faith in Jesus guided every aspect of her life. Billie had a true servants heart and loved helping others. She volunteered in prison ministry, crisis pregnancy counseling, a food pantry, a women's shelter, and a mission trip to Peru. She was a member of Living Hope Church (formerly known as Boerne Assembly of God) and gave freely of her time and talents for countless events and productions. She never turned down an opportunity to be of service to her family, friends, and even strangers. Billie was a shining example of God's love to everyone she met. Billie was also an extremely talented artist who used her abilities to create unique and beautiful floral arrangements, paintings and sculpture. She was the heart of her family and loved spending time with her husband, three daughters, grandchildren, and many friends. Billie was preceded in death by her parents, William Floyd Smith and Lillie Smith Kannady; two brothers, Monty "Mutt" Smith and Edward Smith; and her Grandmother Babe Ferguson. She is survived by her husband, Willie Stricker; their children, Shawnee Bilbrey and husband Keith, Tomeika Brown Scruby and husband Reed, and Tasha Bradley and husband Jason; her brother, Rod Smith and wife Donna; her half sister, Tanya Smith Selvick; her stepfather, Jack Kannady, her step sister Kimberley Kannady.. Billie is also survived by eleven grandchildren who were her absolute pride and joy. Memorial donations may be made to the church of your choice or directly to the family.
