Carol Standke

Carol Standke, 74, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 at a San Antonio hospital. She was born on December 15, 1942 in England to Robert and Dorothy Alston. Carol married Steve Standke on May 06, 1985 in Kerrville. Carol retired from home health care. She loved to work in the yard spending hours working on her favorite roses. She also enjoyed knitting and loved to read. Carol enjoyed trips to the lake, to spend time fishing, feeding and watching the birds. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Timothy Alston and great grandson Zachary Anders. Carol is survived by her loving husband, Steve Standke, who she adored; daughter, Michele Sprowls; sister, Nina McFarlane; grandchildren, Chelsea Romero, Erik Sprowls, Shannon Rodich and Sabrina Romero; great grandchildren, Steven Arellano, Olivia Gonzales, and Anthony Arellano; great-great grandchildren, Aryiah and Jeremiah Arellano. She will be loved and missed by many other family members and friends. The family wishes to take this time and reflect on Carol's life and hold a private service at a later date.
