Christine Roberts Cubit

Christine Roberts Cubit was born to the parentage of Fred and Lily Mae Roberts on September 13, 1936 in Lockhart (Caldwell County), Texas. She attended school in the Tennis Creek Community. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age and served with a friendly and outgoing spirit at the Tennis Creek Methodist Church. Upon moving to Kerrville, she united with the House of Prayer and later joined Barnett Chapel United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and served as a Communion Steward. Christine was united in Holy Matrimony to R.B. Cubit on April 30, 1955 and to this union one daughter was born. She was employed by the Butler Family for over 40 years. Following retirement, she faithfully home cared for many others. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, R.B. (55 years of marriage); sisters, Beauty Bea Tucker, Earnestine Spam, Betty Jean Freelon, Kay Lee Shepheard; brothers, Rev. Fred Roberts Jr. and Troy Willis Roberts; sister in law, Leatrice Roberts. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, her devoted daughter, Carolyn Cubit Barlow (Stan); one adopted son, Michael Lynn Cubit of San Antonio; God-son, Antonio (T.J.) Bruno; brothers, Rev. Foster Roberts of Lockhart, Ray Roberts (Willie Mae) of Fayetteville, NC, Henry Simmons (Sharon) of Los Angeles, CA and Rev. George Roberts (Linda) of Cleveland, OH; sister, Louise Hicks (Oliver of Cleveland, OH; sister in laws, Shirley Hall and Imogene Peterson; brother in laws, Ulysses Cubit and Jasper Cubit Jr.; special friends, Ire Bell and J.C.
