Cora Jean Fuller

Cora Jean Fuller passed from this life at 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at 140 Canyon View in Kerrville, Texas. Cora Jean was born in Lockhart, Texas, on June 24, 1939, to parents Neill and Bonnie Cummings. She was the second of four siblings and the first of three girls. She was married to Bruce Jones on Feb. 14, 1959, until his death in 1995. From this union were two sons, Dale W. Jones and David N. Jones. In 2001, she met her second "soulmate," Gene Fuller, and they were married July 20, 2002. She often was quoted as saying "God sent me two good men, and saved the best for last. This is a life I never expected." Cora Jean moved from the Rio Grande Valley to Kerrville in June 1986, and she considered Kerrville her home. She was owner of Jones Employment Service, partner in Kerr Realty and, later in life, became an LVN from Schreiner College. She loved her field in Home Health Nursing. Cora Jean Fuller is survived by her second husband, Gene Fuller; two sons; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; and two sisters, Carole Herold of El Paso and Sheri Kouri of Spice Wood. She always included the Ty Botkin family as her "family-in-heart." She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bob Cummings; uncle, Lin Acker; and her first husband, Bruce D. Jones. A celebration of life will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday in the picnic area at 140 Canyon View, with a party immediately following.
