Montie Mitchell Obituary

Montie D. Mitchell, 64, passed away on October 22, 2017 in San Antonio. Montie was born on December 25, 1952 in Kerrville to J.D. Mitchell and Misty (Morris) Mitchell. He was a graduate of Tivy High School and a lifelong resident of Kerrville. Montie served in the US Army as a medic and also served in the local National Guard. He worked building houses for many years in the Kerrville area. Montie was currently working in the food service department for the Kerrville Veterans Hospital and had been employed there for the last 20 years. In his spare time he loved to fish, hunt for arrowheads and go camping. He enjoyed time spent in the mornings before work at Flat Rock Park and traveling the back roads around Kerrville. Montie was a loving man and loved to be surrounded by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Misty Mitchell and sister, Vicky Miller. Montie is survived by his children, Jeremy Mitchell and wife Debbie, Lisa Mitchell, Luke Mitchell and wife Kelly and Misty Mitchell; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; his girlfriend, Tambra Savage; sisters, Sandy, Carol and Linda also several nieces and nephews.
