Troy V. Armke

Troy V. Armke, 64, went to be with the Lord on August 08, 2018 in a Kerrville hospital surrounded by his loved ones. Troy Vince Armke was born on April 24, 1954 in Fredericksburg to Freddie and Joyce (Nowatny) Armke. Troy attended Blanco High School then on to a welding college in Austin. On June 07, 1974, he married the love of his life Kathy Vick in Athens. He was a life time Rancher; working and living most of his life in Harper and the Mountain Home area. Troy volunteered at the Harper EMS and Fire Department, the Harper Community Park Board and the Harper ISD School Board. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed a good game of 42 with his buddies. Troy loved spending time with his grandkids watching them play softball and other various sporting activities. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joyce and Freddie Armke; brother, Tim Daniels. Troy is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Armke; children, Terresa McDonald and husband Donnie, Tracie Armke, Tory Armke and wife Taylor; siblings, Brenda Lindig and husband Al, Tibby Armke and wife Robin, Ted Armke, Travis Armke , Pat Daniels and wife Angie; grandchildren, Tanner Armke, Hunter McDonald, Kaydance Armke, Rangler Armke, Kadrie Niblett and soon to arrive Kamber Armke. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Poppee Softball Scholarship Fund at Security State Bank and Trust.
