Annelle Rodecape Lovering, 97, went to her everlasting rest on Feb. 6, 2025, in Kerrville, TX. The daughter of Clyde E. and Lucile Bains Rodecape, she was born in Houston, on September 28, 1927. She grew up and spent the first half of her married life in Baytown, TX, and her last 40 years in Kerrville. She married Eugene H. Lovering in 1948, and they enjoyed almost 66 years together before his death in 2014. They are survived by two sons, Eugene H. Lovering Jr. of Kerrville and Donald E. Lovering of Austin; two granddaughters, Lauren Lovering Rawie, and Carole Lovering Kooi; and one great-grandson, Andrew Caleb Kooi.
Annelle was a huge sports fan and especially loved traveling (the more adventurous, the better!), seeing the world’s sights, and meeting the world’s people. She and Eugene traveled to over 100 countries and all of earth’s continents. She graced the world with her giving through the church and community. Among the needs of special importance to her in later years was providing water wells for African villages that had previously had no access to clean water. She was also long active in contributing to girls’ education through the P.E.O. organization. Thus, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent in her honor to World Vision [P.O. Box 9716, Federal Way, WA 98063; www.worldvision.org]; to P.E.O. [P.E.O. Executive Office, Treasurer’s Dept., 3700 Grand Ave., Des Moines, IA 50312]; or to the charity of your choice.
At her request, there will be no funeral, but in a private family service her ashes will be buried in Kerrville next to her husband’s.
