Barbara Joan Passmore Rodgers passed away on Jan. 26, 2025, in Kerrville, Texas, in the devoted care of her family. Barbara will be lovingly remembered for her limitless love and caring for her family and all of the children in her life, for her great kindness and generosity, for her remarkable creativity and artistry, and for her extraordinary determination, strength and resiliency. She lived with passion for all she did — as a tireless loving mother and homekeeper, a skilled seamstress, an able business manager and an enthusiastic traveler. Most of all, Barbara Rodgers will be remembered for the joyous laughter she brought to her family and the many friends in her life.
Born Sept. 13, 1931, in San Antonio, Texas, Barbara is the daughter of Clarence L. Passmore and Grace Scott Passmore. She is an honors graduate of the 1948 class of Austin High School in Austin, Texas.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Robert Earnest Rodgers, who passed in 2021.
She is survived by her 3 children, Robert Earnest Rodgers Jr. and his wife Karen of New Braunfels, Texas; by Judith Lorraine Rodgers Sanders of Montgomery, Texas; and by Scott Douglas Rodgers and his wife Kathy of Austin, Texas. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Jocelyn Rodgers of Potomac, Maryland, Robyn Rodgers of Denver, Colorado, and Rachel
Rodgers of Orlando, Florida; and three great-grandchildren.
