Birgit Woodrum

Birgit Woodrum, born October 26, 1940, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, and has gone to the loving embrace of her parents. She was also reunited with her sister and nephews.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, sister, nieces and nephews.

Born in Leipzig, Germany, to Giesela Bocksch and Guenther Hecklau, Birgit lived a life centered on family, a love of literature, and simple joys such as watching Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune. Throughout her career, she worked for Sears, Alpine Lodge Restaurant, The Inn of the Hills, State Aire, and Peterson Health.

Birgit had a special love for animals and cherished the companionship of her beloved pets. Her greatest joy in recent years was spending time with her great-granddaughter, with whom she shared a home and many treasured memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Kerr Connect or to a local animal shelter in Birgit's honor.
