Brandon Kyle Shomette

Brandon Kyle Shomette, 22, left this world too soon on July 1, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on April 25, 2004, in Fredericksburg, Texas, and grew up in Kerrville.

Brandon attended Center Point Elementary and Tivy High School before completing his education through homeschooling. During his working years, he was employed by Discount Tire and Burger King.

Brandon had a good heart and enjoyed helping others. He was known for performing random acts of kindness and, like many of us, enjoyed being recognized and appreciated for the good things he did. One moment that especially reflected Brandon’s caring nature occurred when a neighbor slipped and fell on the ice in her driveway. Brandon asked if he could help her, then picked her up and carried her all the way back to her home, making sure she was safe.

Brandon also enjoyed helping people with their phone and computer problems, especially the elderly. He seemed to have a special ability to talk his friends through their life problems, offering support when they needed someone to listen or help them work through a difficult time.

He loved being in nature and enjoyed taking walks. Brandon was also an avid video and computer game player and especially enjoyed Fallout, Fortnite, and many other games. He enjoyed building things and taking things apart to see how they worked. Curious and hands on by nature this would explain why at times, Brandon was bored in school.

Even in death, Brandon continued to help others. He left this world as a hero through the gift of organ donation, giving hope and the gift of life to others in need. His generosity and caring spirit will continue to live on through the lives he touched and the lives changed by his final gift.

Brandon was preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandfather, David Luther Adams; uncle, David Shomette; paternal grandfather, Harvey Shomette; paternal grandmother, Sydney Shomette.

Those left to cherish Brandon’s memory include his mother, Donna Adams-Shomette; father, Tim Shomette; sister, Caitlin Shomette; half-brother, Devin Shomette, his wife and his four children; maternal grandmother, Linda Schultz and her husband; uncle, Mike Shomette, and his children and grandchildren; aunt, Debby Werlla, and her husband, daughter, son-in-law, and children; as well as extended family and friends who will forever remember Brandon and carry his memory with them.

Brandon will be remembered for his good heart, his acts of kindness, and his willingness to help others. Though his life was far too short, the kindness he gave and the lives he touched will not be forgotten.
