Charles L. Eckert Jr. / Chuck of Center Point, passed away on June 2, 2022. He was born on February 1, 1955, in San Antonio, the second child of Charles L. Eckert and Marjorie J. Lutz’s nine children.
Chuck is survived by his son Charles E. Eckert; his sister Cathy Schneider and husband George; brother Bob and wife Felicia; sister Peggy Miller; sister-in-law Karen Eckert; sister Jean Keen; sister Nancy Menger and husband Todd; sister Donna Fields and husband Andy; sister Tricia Guevara and husband Ignacio, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jo; parents Charles L. Eckert and Marjorie J. Eckert, brother Daniel Eckert; brothers-in-law, Roy Miller and Jerry Keen.
Chuck had a passion for cars! He attended St. Phillips College where he earned an Automotive Electrical Certification. He worked for Reliable Battery, with his father, and then Gunn Automotive Services before he started his own automotive business, Direct Current. He restored and rebuilt vintage antiques to racing cars and everything in between. Chuck and Jo then lived their dream life at the “Ranch” in Center Point where he raised cows, chickens, and donkeys.
