Denny Brandt

Denny Brandt passed away Monday, January 12, 2026, at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX. He was 78 years old. May God’s blessing be with you always and you Rest In Peace Forever, Denny.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry; stepdaughter, Laura Banick; stepson, Jason Hardcastle; and brother, Merle Brandt.

He worked a couple of years for the Lone Star Brewery. Later in life he cut cedar posts, firewood, hauled hay, and did other side jobs.

His ashes were spread near the property he once owned and the song, “Here Today” by Ben & Rose was played at his service.

We shared some good times together. One, I remember when someone gave him a 40’ telephone pole and he tied it onto the side of his truck and hauled it home. The truck was about to turn over on its side because of the weight, and it was sight to see him driving down the road.  We shared a good laugh and he got the pole home.

Denny will be missed by all who loved him.
