Devin Warren Coryell, 58, went to join the Lord on December 27, 2024, in San Antonio, TX. Devin was born on January 24, 1968, in Del Rio, TX and was the oldest son to David and Sandra Coryell followed by brothers Derek and Dustin Coryell.
Devin was a great history buff who loved his family, discovering and sharing unique treasures, was devoted to Texas A&M, was an avid reader, a master prankster, and was a lover of God. Devin radiated kindness and love, and his positivity and thoughtfulness was noticed by all. Throughout his journeys in life he always found a way to blend kindness, humor, sarcasm, and Jesus into conversation.
Maintaining a seat on the board of Dustin’s House since 2010, Devin has been at the helm helping fund opportunities in sober living homes in Kerrville to many individuals who have reached out. He forged relationships in the community out of kindness, compassion, and just being a good human.
Being the oldest brother brought great responsibilities that included above all the ability to out prank his younger brothers. Devin was a loving, honest, and dedicated brother as well, and the experiences, bonds, and legendary stories will carry on.
Devin was a devoted son who with his hard work and kind heart helped his parents throughout his lifetime. Being the oldest brother was quite a job, but being an uncle brought immense pride and joy to Devin. He could not have been more boastful of his nieces and nephew. He will be missed by so many.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Coryell; brother, Dustin Coryell.
He is survived by his loving mother, Sandra Coryell; brother, Derek Coryell (Michelle); nephew Lyndon; nieces, Presley and AnnaLee Coryell; great-niece, Scarlett Ember Coryell; and beloved dogs Sadita, Fessa, and Nugget.
