Edison "Ed" Schaefer Obituary

Edison Lewis Schaefer, 89, passed away from this life on May 12, 2021 at his home in Kerrville. He was born on October 03, 1931.

Ed was a veteran of the Korean War and a lifetime member of the VFW. In addition he was a member of the American Legion and Herman Sons.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Barbara, children Karen Schaefer, Dean and wife Kelly Schaefer, Susan Rosenfield and husband Matt. He had 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; niece, Janell Wesneski and nephew Larry Maenius.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelda and Willie Schaefer; sister Irene and her husband, Martin Maenius; and granddaughter, Kimberly Lewis.

Ed loved cats. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to the Big Fix in Kerrville.
