Ellowese Joy Rachel

On the afternoon of March 08, 2023, Ellowese J. Rachel, 80, passed away from this life at a Kerrville hospital. Born Ellowese Joy Weichel on Nov. 26, 1942, in Clinton, Oklahoma; she was one of three children of Artie and Ola Weichel.

Ellowese attended Oklahoma State University. She married Elton Doyle Rachel in Corpus Christie (1972). They lived in San Antonio for over 35 years, where they owned Insty Prints.

Ellowese was a big fan of the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys. She enjoyed many hours spent watching and cheering on her teams with husband Elton.  After the death of her husband on November 12, 2016, she moved to Lakehills, where she enjoyed cherished time spent with her daughter and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Elton; sister, O’leta Weichel; and brother, Clifford Weichel.

She is survived by her daughter, Corey Rachel of Lakehills; son, Patrick Rachel; grandchildren, Liliana Angelica and Dade Angelica, both of Lakehills; brother-in-law, D’Wain Rachel of Flour Bluff;  sister in law, Vera Griffith of Clinton, OK; nephews, Steve Weichel, James Weichel and their families, all of Clinton, OK. She will be loved and missed by many other family members and friends.
