On the night of March 26, 2021 surrounded by his loving family, Emilio Roman, 85, was called home to be with the Lord.
He was born on March 15,1936 in La Pryor to Serafine and Rosa (Cruz) Roman. Emilio married Enriqueta (Henriette) Ortiz in 1957 in La Pryor. Over the years, he worked for Quality Ready Mix and the Highway Department. Emilio retired from Notre Dame Catholic Church, where his duties included custodial work, bus driver and many other job titles.
Emilio was a fun-loving jokester. He was hardworking and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was innovative with his electrical skills, could make anything work with one touch and could build you anything with only looking at a photo. Emilio was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6409 and he was a proud cancer survivor.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Enriqueta Roman (2019); parents; 5 siblings; granddaughter, Michelle Wilmer; great grandchildren, Analysa and Alysa Garcia; and son in law, Louis L. Fabricator.
Emilio is survived by his children, Serafine Roman (Nora), Sonya Fabricator, Emilio Roman Jr. (Ty), Esperanza Rosales (Emilio), Albert Roman, John Roman, Gloria Rosales (Richard), Maria Elena Vasquez (Ben), LeRoy Roman, Cynthia Roman and Nancy Duran (David); 13 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren; sister, Santos Martinez. He had numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members that he loved so much.
