Geraldine "Geri" Lou (Paskiet) Hodges

Geraldine “Geri” Lou Hodges, 87, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026.

Geri was born April 11, 1939, in Buchanan, Michigan, to John and Helen Paskiet, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arvil C. Hodges; her brother, Larry Paskiet; and her sister-in-law, Holly Paskiet.

She is survived by her brothers, Denny, Dick, and Doug Paskiet; her daughters, Suzanne Blakeley and husband Jeff, Diana Hodges McDevitt and Linda Lozier; her son, Roger Speckine and his partner, Laura Altgelt; her grandchildren, Tyler Henley (Kim), Nichole Rae (Brady), Devin Dufrene, Michaela McDevitt and Aubrey McDevitt; her great-granddaughter, Grace Henley; and many nieces and nephews.

Geri treasured staying connected with her many friends in Buchanan and faithfully attended the annual Buchanan Buckteens Reunion in Michigan, often making the drive from Texas to reunite with classmates and loved ones. She was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church in Kerrville and the Dietert Center.

Geri was a vibrant and active woman who found great joy in sharing lunch with friends, her work at Belk Department Store, and traveling to new places. She was known for her strong character - determined, independent, and resilient, facing life’s challenges with unwavering strength and grace.

She will be remembered for her love of family, warmth, and kindness. Geri has now been reunited with her beloved husband, Arvil, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, Kerrville, Texas.
