Harry Andrew Edwards, 83, passed away on April 29, 2026, at a care center in Kerrville, Texas. He was born on February 1, 1943, in George West, Texas, to Andrew and Eugie “Baker” Edwards.
Harry graduated from the University of Texas, where he proudly played in the Mighty Longhorn Band. Throughout his life, he lived and worked in George West, Austin, and Corte Madera, California. He built a long career in publishing and print production, working as a production editor with The Format Group in Austin. A gifted writer and editor, Harry was known for his sharp eye to detail and his deep love of language and the printed word.
Harry was an avid reader with an extensive album collection and a vast interest in music of all genres, from jazz to Texas musicians. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and appreciation of music with friends and family throughout his life.
While working at G&S Typesetters, Harry met Diane McCoy. The two were married in March 1990 and shared 33 wonderful and eventful years together until Diane’s passing on December 18, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugie and the Honorable Judge Andrew Edwards; his beloved wife, Diane; his daughter, Rachel Eleni Edwards; and his son, Lucas Edwards.\
Harry leaves behind his brother, Tom Edwards and many cousins who loved him like a brother and will cherish his memory always.
Harry and Diane will be laid to rest together at George West Cemetery later this year.
