James Cavaness McPherson was born December 8, 1970, in Tarrant County to Samuel Grant McPherson Jr. and Grace Cavaness (McPherson) Mueller. James passed away, at the age of 52, on December 27, 2022, at Peterson Regional Medical Center in Kerrville, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Kenneth Miller; sister, Jana McPherson Cluck; stepsister Tina Sue Arms; stepbrother, David Earl Logan.
James is survived by his children Emily McPherson of Kerrville, TX, Grant McPherson of Kerrville, TX; sister, Lori McPherson Goodson of Walnut Springs, TX; brother, Kevin McPherson and his wife Jenny; stepmother Jeannette Goble McPherson; stepbrothers, James Lee Owens and Wesley Lucas all of Llano, TX, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Though James has stints of living and working in Brady, Austin, Llano, TX he spent most of his adult life in Kerrville. He always took price in his work but was especially proud of his work as an assembly line inspector for Mooney Aircraft. James also used the auto mechanic skills, that his father taught him to become a very competent shade tree mechanic and was always willing to help a family member or friend with repairs to their vehicle.
He has several interests, but Karaoke singing and playing games was his favorite pastime. He was quite good and, when his health allowed, he could be found at local pubs or taverns belting out tunes from his favorite rock bands, most of them at the request of other patrons.
