He was preceded in death by his parents, Regis and Mary Beirne; and daughter, Kathleen Ann.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Jody Beirne; sons, Kevin Beirne and wife, Susan, Mike Beirne and wife, Katie; and grandchildren Barrett, Mason and Rory Ann.
