Janice Pierce Montague

Janice 'Jan' Faye Pierce Montague, 76, of Kerrville, passed away Sunday, August 14,2016 at the age of 76 at the Peterson Regional Medical Center, Kerrville. Born in Bennett, Texas on March 9, 1940, she was the daughter of Alvis and Oleta L. Pierce. She married Tony H. "Monty" Montague in August 1960 in Dallas. Jan worked at Vought/LTV/ Northrop Grumman from 1958-1969 then returned to work again in 1975 until her retirement in June 2006. From 1962 through 1976, Janice traveled to live in California and Washington State with her husband, who was in the U.S. Navy. Jan enjoyed travel, dancing, and cooking. She visited Europe and many other countries in her adventures. She often grew her own herbs and especially enjoyed fresh tomatoes and black-eyed peas from the farmers market. She loved her cats and they were always so special to her. Jan is survived by her brother, John Pierce; her children, Judith Bowen, Pamela Aldridge (husband Johnny), Tony Montague (wife, Amanda); grandchildren: Andrew, Latrisha (husband Joseph), John, Robert and Sam; great-grandchildren: Haylyne, Caleb, Holden and Haisley. Preceding her in death were her parents, Alvis and Oleta Pierce and her husband, Monty Montague.
