September 20, 2021 Jay Brian Cox passed from this life on Saturday, September 18, 2021 following a valiant battle with cancer.
Jay was born on November 7, 1957 in Texas City, Texas to J.R. and Mary Cox. He proudly served in the U. S. Army and was stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas and Camp Casey, South Korea. Jay worked at the Kerrville State Hospital and retired following 26 years of service; operated a local access television station for his community; employed with Dollar General of Ingram; and was a published author.
Jay is preceded in death by his father and his brother Glen.
He is survived by his wife Bobbie; daughter Cathy Eudy; granddaughters Nissyen, Angel and Jaycee; great-grandson Xavier; sisters Annette and Danita; nieces and nephews; and his beloved cats Sparkle and Baby. Much thanks and appreciation is given to Doctors Rebecca Barrington, Seijo Oi, Douglas Buchanan, Douglas Wright, Valerian Chyle, Ryan Patrick, the nursing staff at Texas Oncology and Hematology, and to the many family, friends and loved ones. Good night Sweet Prince, till we meet again in Heaven. We love you.
No services will be held, the family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Kerrville Humane Society.
