Jeannette Kramer McCoy, 97, passed away on Nov. 19, 2016 in Bandera. She was born July 09, 1919 in Manhattan, NY to Mr. and Mrs. John Kramer. She attended school in New York City and she worked for Newsweek magazine during WWII. Jeannette married William A. "Bill" McCoy on July 12, 1954 in Chicago, IL, where they lived and raised a family. They retired to Bandera in 1981 to enjoy the Hill Country. She was an avid reader; reading as much as she could and would read anything with words on the page. Jeannette also loved watching the news. Jeannette was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, who passed away a few weeks before her (October 01, 2016). She is survived by her son, Gary Usher and wife Pauline of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Shannon and Shawn Usher; nephew, Elbert Reed. Jeannette will be loved and missed by many other family members and friends. Jeanette and Bill will be buried together at Fort Sam Houston at a later date.
