Jesusa Ruiz Ramirez

Jesusa Ruiz Ramirez, 94, passed from this life on July 12, 2024, surrounded by her family in Kerrville, TX. She was born on May 2, 1930, in San Antonio, TX to Rufus Ruiz Sr. and Asencion Ruiz.

Jesusa met Ruben Ramirez in Maricopa, AZ and they married shortly after in 1967. They lived the first 5 years of their married life in Arizona before settling in Kerrville, TX where they had one daughter, Ruby Ramirez.

In her lifetime, Jesusa made a large impact on many people’s lives, especially her family’s. She was big in her church, First Assembly of God, where she was a Sunday school teacher and worked with the Women’s Ministry. Jesusa was a beautiful woman inside and out.

Outside of being a homemaker for her family, Jesusa enjoyed housecleaning for other people and had a devoted client for many years. When she was home, she loved cooking for her family. She was very particular about her tamales and the family envied that no one could make menudo like she could. Above all, Jesusa loved her family very much and would do anything to see them smile.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Frances Lopez, Angela Jimenez, Fabiana Castillo, Juan Ruiz, Paula Arellano, Ruth Vasquez, Elida Ramirez, Daniel Ruiz, Rufus Ruiz Jr.; 4 great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Ruben Ramirez; daughter, Ruby Ramirez (Lance); sister, Dora Garcia; grandchildren, Dalton, Cierra, Savannah (Ranen), Felesia, Arica; great-grandchildren, Asher and Oliver; and many nieces and nephews.
