John Edward Winters

John “Eddie” Edward Winters, age 63, passed away on February 7, 2025, in Mountain Home, TX. John was born on January 30, 1962, in Corpus Christi, TX. He was born to John Samuel and Berta Winters. His father and mother preceded him in death. He was married to Katherine L. Winters on March 11, 1991, in Corpus Christi, TX. She also preceded him in death.

He graduated from W.B. Ray Senior High School in Corpus Christi. From there, he went on to serve honorably in the United States Army, where he held multiple positions and titles over the course of his service. After being honorably discharged from the United States Army, he lived a very happy life with his family on his ranch for the past twenty years in Mountain Home, TX.

He leaves behind his children, Russell (Courtney) Winters and Elizabeth (Michael) Mullis, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Alyssa Winters, Zoey and Edward Zambrano, and Dakota and Justin Mullis. Eddie is also survived by his siblings, Elizabeth (Walter) Gehrlein and J.C. (Alma) Winters, and his beloved dog, Heidi.

Eddie will be deeply loved and missed by all who knew him. A private ceremony to honor his life will be held in Kerrville, Texas on March 23, 2025.
