Mrs. Bobby Beaver, nee Judy J. Treiber, was holding her grandson Josh’s hand as she was welcomed into the arms of our Lord on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
Family and friends will gather for a celebration of her life at noon on Saturday, March 22, at the Beaver residence, 450 Kelly Creek Road in Ingram.
Born on Jan. 4, 1944, Judy was the only daughter and youngest child of Michael and Selma “Poochie” Treiber of Ingram. They preceded her in death. In 1961, she married Bobby Beaver. They were married for nearly 65 years. He survives. Together, they had two sons, Robert and Kevin. Gone far too soon, they preceded her in death – Robert at 54 years of age in 2016 and Kevin at 42 years of age in 2008.
She faced life’s challenges with a strong faith in Jesus Christ. She enjoyed programs and literature that were religious in nature. A marksman, she enjoyed hunting, fishing and outdoor activities. She was a big supporter of both of her sons as they enjoyed competitive shooting sports and numerous other pursuits while growing up.
She was known by many in the community, because her friendly face and demeanor were a fixture at J.C. Penney Co. in Kerrville, where she worked for more than 40 years. In retirement, one of her favorite pastimes was crocheting blankets and articles of clothing for premature babies.
Preceding her in death were: her father, Michael Fritz Treiber; her mother, Selma Lillian Treiber; her son, Robert Russell Beaver; her son, Kevin Scott Beaver; her brother and sister-in- law, Joe T. “Tommy” and Mary Nell Meyer, and her brother, Leon Michael Treiber.
She is survived by: her husband, Bobby Russell Beaver; her grandson and his wife, Joshua and Jessica Beaver and their children, her great-grandson, Halston Colt Beaver, and great granddaughter, Hartlynn Bliss Beaver; and a sister-in-law, Dora Treiber – all of Ingram. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her.
Those who would like may make memorials in her name to the charity of one’s choice.
