Karen (Lamb) Fuller of Kerrville, went to be with her Lord and her son, Michael on April 19, 2019 at the Methodist Hospital of San Antonio. She was taken due to pancreatic cancer.
She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 12, 1935 and moved at the age of seven to Studio City, California.
She graduated from Van Nuys High School and went to a scholarship provided art school near Hollywood, CA. She later lived in Simi Valley, then Goleta, Lancaster, all of CA then Princeton, TX and finally Kerrville.
She and her husband traveled by RV to most of the states of America. She was a member of the Kerrville Elks Lodge and cherished her time spent as a volunteer supporting the Elks Lodge Sweethearts organization. The Sweethearts were dedicated to providing a free week at the Texas state Elks Camp near Gonzales, TX to special needs children.
As many as 350 special need children were treated to a full week each year as a results of the Texas state wide Elks Sweetheart project. Karen loved every minute she spent helping raise funds to send the kids to camp. She was a member of the Riverfront Clubhouse and Faith Christian Church of Kerrville.
Karen was an only child to her mother Doveta Lamb and father, Charles Lamb, both deceased. She is survived by her husband, Don Fuller of Kerrville; daughters, Debra Fuller of Tyler, Lori Fuller of Santa Barbara, CA, Sandra Veazey of Golden Valley, AZ; and son, Dan Fuller of Ventura, CA; her oldest child, Michael of Quartz Hill, CA passed away at the age of 58 in 2016 in Los Angeles Cedar Sinai Medical center due to bladder cancer.
A memorial service for family, friends, elks lodge members and her church members will be held at the Kerrville Elk Lodge at 1907 Junction Hwy at 11;00 am on May 4. Flowers may be sent for the service.
In lieu of flowers, if a donation is preferred, donations may be sent to Texas Elks Children Service or to the Coming King Foundation.
Her ashes will be spread on the grounds of the Kerrville Empty Cross and Sculpture Prayer Garden.
