Laura Beavers Obituary

Laura Teresa Thomas Beavers passed away at 12:48pm on July 02, 2025, in Mountain Home, Texas.

Laura was born in Orange, Texas and is the eldest child of C. Randall and Cynthia (Thorp) Thomas. She grew up in Beaumont, Texas and attended the University of Arkansas, where she met and married Will Beavers.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years; her daughter Cara Michelle Beavers Madlom Whitaker; five grandchildren, Zachary Madlom (and spouse, Emilee), Blake Madlom (and spouse, Erin Elizabeth), Katelyn Madlom, Dorian Whitaker and Natalie Whitaker; and great grandson, Ennis Joseph Madlom. She is also survived by 2 of her 4 siblings, Degge Thomas and Ned Thomas and many nieces and nephews.

She was a 50-year member of Daughter of the American Revolution and past state officer (Historian General) of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She served as Administrative Director of the Texas Archeological Society for many years.

At her request no services will be held. Condolences may be sent via messenger or mail to her husband or daughter, (Po Box 423, Mountain Home, Texas 78058). Any donations may be sent to Peterson Hospice.
