Lee James Thompson

– Lee James Thompson Jr. was born on August 19, 1953 to his parents Lee James Thompson and Anna Sue (Johnson), who precede him in death. He went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2020 at 66 years old.

Lee graduated high school from, Arkansas High in Texarkana. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Henderson State College and a master’s degree in Public Administration from East Texas State University. Lee pledged Alpha Phi Alpha. While in college, Lee wrote a book of poetry, he was gifted with his artistic ability.

He was survived by his loving wife, Laresa Anderson Thompson; sons, Ronald Anderson and Tyler Brown; daughters, Kirreyanna and Kee’Asjha Brown; grandson, Vontrey Anderson; granddaughters, Valexcia, Amya and Ziona Anderson; great granddaughter Justyce Annalysa Johnson (“Bright Eyes” as Lee would say).
