Linda Dooley Obituary

Linda Roland Dooley, 83, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025, in Kerrville, Texas surrounded by her children. She was born on June 7, 1941, in Dallas, Texas, to Joe Allen Roland and Lucille Hopper Roland.

Linda grew up in Dallas and later moved to Bryan/College Station in 1970, where she spent over four decades building a life and career. As a young adult, Linda pursued modeling and worked as a disc jockey. While there, she worked as a secretary, alongside her husband, Lloyd, in the family business, Texas Window and Walls.  She was a cherished member of Kay Perrone and Associates for 29 years. Her dedication, hard work, and kindness left an enduring impact on those she worked with.

Her love for fashion, sparked by her modeling career, made shopping one of her favorite pastimes. Linda loved the Saturday’s spent shopping with daughter, Krisanne and mother Lucille.

Her family lovingly remembers her as a firm-footed woman of God, whose love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ shaped the lives of those she held dear.  She was a member of Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas and Hyde Park Baptist Church of Austin. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she had a deep love for Bible study, finding joy and wisdom in God’s word. In 2020, she moved to Kerrville to be near her son Joel, finding comfort and companionship in his care during her final years.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Stephanie Dooley; her husband, Lloyd Lee Dooley; her sister, Leslie Ann Shelton; her father, Joe Roland; and mother, Lucille Hopper Gannaway.

She is survived by her children, Joel Dooley (Tammy Moore) and Krisanne Dooley; grandchildren, Ashley Dooley Sgambelluri (Phil) and Zachary Dooley; and great-grandchildren, Fiona and Felix. She was also blessed with bonus grandchildren, Lyndsie Faglie (Josh), Lacey Water (Cody), Thomas Travis (Leah), and nine bonus great-grandchildren.

Linda's love, strength, and unwavering faith will be forever remembered by all who knew her. She lived a life of grace, dedication, and kindness, and her legacy will continue through the family she loved so dearly.
