Linda Smith Obituary

Linda Lee Smith, 79, went to be with the lord on the evening of October 15, 2022 in Kerrville, Texas.

Linda was born May 8, 1943 in Milton, Florida, to her late parents, William R. Rollo & Mary Esma Nolan Rollo. She graduated from Milton High School, class of 1961, and met her husband, William Smith, at Sunday School, when they were around 8 years old. They have been married for over half a century.  Becoming a military spouse raising their 3 children brought her to many places all over the United States throughout William’s Navy service, including San Diego, California; Honolulu, Hawaii; Charleston, South Carolina; Groton, Connecticut; and Bremerton, Washington, where he retired from the Navy. Not long after, they moved to Woodbine, Georgia where they lived over 30 years. Six years ago, they moved to Fredericksburg, Texas to spend the rest of their years near family.

She was full of life and loved many things. From winning first place in a bowling league to always being an active member at her local Baptist church, she was always on the go. She liked crocheting, cooking, and shopping at her favorite stores like Hallmark and Holly Lolly (aka. Hobby Lobby). One look at her house would show you that it was evident that she had a love for collecting things, such as baby dolls, teapots, miniature figurines, beanie babies, Christmas ornaments and more were proudly on display. The thing she loved most of all was spending time with her family and her grandkids. Her quick witty nature and her generous and loving heart would make everyone laugh, even on the gloomiest of days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Esma & William Rollo of Milton, Florida; Robert Rollo (brother) & Lola Rollo (Sister-in-law) of Milton, Florida; Tyrone Rollo (brother) of Milton, Florida, and by many nieces & nephews.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, William Smith of Kerrville; devoted children, Scott (Haven) Smith of Houston; Tracey (Ron) Tyson of Harper; Kelly (Tony) Bennett of Kerrville; her beloved grandchildren, Erik (Krystle) Smith of Gig Harbor, WA; Christopher (Tomas) LeBrun of Czech Republic; Rushelle (Colton) Harris of Long Beach, MS; Kirk Smith of Puyallup, WA; Ross (Emily) Tyson of Kingsland, GA; Kailinda (Joseph) Dean of Johnson City; Riley Tyson of Harper; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Myles, Iris, Kieran, Lane, Zander, Jolee, & Tessa. Also survived by Shirley Rollo (sister-in-law) and many nieces and nephews.
