Lisa Jean Dederick

Lisa Jean Dederick, 62, passed away at her home in Kerrville, Texas on March 9, 2025 after a long illness. She died holding the hands of her husband Dan and her sister Wendy. Lisa was a
dedicated nurse in New York and in Texas until her illness, Fronto-Temporal Degeneration, rendered her unable to work. She was a caring and supportive friend, family member, and caregiver to her patients. Prior to her illness, Lisa was always available for heath advice and medical information, as she kept informed about the latest medical updates.

Lisa is predeceased by her parents, Bruce and Dorothy Dederick and her late husband, Roger Riccomini.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 13 years, Jimmy “Dan” Smith, her sister Wendy, her brother Bruce, her nephew Matthew, her sister in law Cathy, a large extended family and many dear friends, including Hazel Sherburne, Gail Geisler O’Connor, Betsy Deak Lastner, and many, many more.

A celebration of Lisa’s life, along with that of her mother, Dorothy, will be held at the American Legion, 30 John Street, Saugerties, from 2pm-4pm on Sunday, March 15, 2026.
