Mabel (Mae) Ann Parsons, 73, of Harper Texas passed Saturday January 29th in Fredericksburg Nursing Home with her loving husband by her side.
Mabel was born July 14th 1948 to Donald & Annabelle (Farnsworth) Marsh in Bellaire Michigan. Mabel grew up in the Central Lake/Ellsworth area. She lost her mother at age 17 and went on to graduate high school in 1966. She married Roy (Buck) Warner in May 1968. They had one daughter, Sherry Lynn Warner. She lost Roy in a hunting accident November 1973 and she went on to raise her daughter working as a nurses aide. Later she met Ivan (Ike) Parsons and they were married June 14, 1980. She was still working as a nurses aide when they decided to open a farmers market and woodworking shop in Central Lake Michigan.
Mae is survived by her husband, Ike; her daughter, Sherry (Jerry) Warner; sister Dorothy Bennett of Westland Michigan, and also several beloved nieces & nephews.
Mae was preceded in death by both parents; six brothers & sisters, Don, Donalee, Ellsworth, Ron, Bud, & Dean.
Mabel had a very strong faith in the Lord and loved to sing, play accordion, & keyboard. She had the voice of an angel and a personality that drew people to her. Mae also loved to yodel. Her favorite song is “I want to be a Cowboys Sweetheart”. She was loved by all who met her and knew her. She will be missed.
