Maryann Noah Obituary

Maryann G. Noah, 76, of Mountain Home, TX passed from this life on October 19, 2024. She was born on October 6, 1948, in Bronx, NY to her parents, Lorraine (Bay) and William Martin Mackey Sr.

Maryann lived in Kerrville for many years, where she raised two children. She was employed for the Kerrville Telephone Company for 35 years and worked as a telephone operator. Once the need for an operator expired, she moved to the business office to work as a cashier. Maryann was also a switchboard operator for Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital for many years.

She will be remembered for her love of baking, crocheting, and sewing for her family, friends, and coworkers.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine (Mackey) Brown of Logan, NM; father, William Martin Mackey Sr. of Bronx, NY; uncle, Thomas Mackey of Bronx, NY; adopted father, Harvey R. Noah of Kerrville, TX; previous husband, Jack W. Noah Sr. of Kerrville, TX; brother, William (Billy) Martin Mackey Jr. of Logan, NM.

Maryann is survived by her children, Jack W. Noah Jr. (Lisa) of Harper, TX, Katherine Noah Smith (Joey Ybarra) of Mountain Home, TX; brother, Rusty Noah of Florida; grandchildren, Austin Noah of Harper, TX, Bailey Smith (Taylor) of Eastland, TX, Heather Smith (Nick McCullum of Kerrville, TX, Jacquelyn Noah of Harper, TX; great-grandchildren, Candace Palladino, Addison McCullum, Iris McCullum of Kerrville, TX, Asher (Vargas) Smith, Jamyson Smith, and Wesley Smith of Eastland, TX; nieces, Michelle Mackey Martinez, Crystal Mackey, Amber Noah (Crystal) of Center Point, TX; nephews, Casey Mackey, Kolby Liles; great nieces and nephews, Kaleb Harris, Tyler Harris, Hailey Harris, Josh Cardenas, and Cole Cardenas; and many great-great nieces and nephews that she would’ve loved visiting with.

We would like to thank the many wonderful staff at Peterson Hospice and Home care that provided our mother with such gentle care and respect.

A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to the American Stroke Association and Peterson Hospice.
