Mikel Anthony Griffin, 57, of Kerrville, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 in a San Antonio hospital. He was born in Santa Ana, California to Mikel E. Griffin and Maria Merino Griffin on December 18, 1964.
He worked in construction for many years restoring older homes until his disability. He was a jack of all trades.
Mikel was a free spirited individual. He was always up for new adventures traveling all over the United States. He enjoyed spending quality time with his friends, family and especially his youngest great nephew Noah, who he called Mad Max and his great niece Ireland, who he called Quack Quack. He loved them dearly.
Mikel Griffin was preceded in death by his father, Mikel E. Griffin; mother, Maria Merino Griffin; and niece, Angelika Maria Holmes.
Survivors include his daughter, Haley Reusser of Center Point; sons, Jon and Brennen Griffin of Fergus Falls, MN; sisters, Janet Holmes and Arleen Griffin and a brother, Leslie (Molly) Griffin all of Kerrville; nieces and nephews, Mary Parks (Roy),Michael Holmes, Logan Stehling, Jas Stehling, Alex Duarte (Cruz), Jessica Martinez (Michael), Trevor Holmes (Tana Taylor), Hunter Holmes and Savannah McDonald, all of Kerrville, and numerous great nieces, nephews and close friends.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses in the MICU at Methodist Metropolitan Hospital in San Antonio, TX, Monica, Aaron, Allen and Christi.
