Oscar Escamilla

Oscar M. Escamilla, 77 years old, passed away to be with his Lord on Monday, January 29, 2024, at his residence in Kerrville. Oscar was born in Hondo, Texas on November 29, 1946. He was married to the love of his life Lucinda Garcia for 50 years.

Oscar was a butcher in his younger years and retired from the Kerrville State Hospital after working there for many years. He enjoyed sport cars and dancing in his free time. In his last years of life, he enjoyed going to surrounding churches with his friends.

He was preceded in death in by wife, Lucinda Escamilla; parents, Luis and Maria Isabel Escamilla; brothers, Fidencio Luis, Juan, Efrain, Julio; sisters Sofia Decker, Elia Juliet Morales.

Oscar is survived by his daughters; Margie Vallez (John) of San Antonio, TX, Christine Escamilla of Kerrville, TX; son, Oscar Escamilla Jr. of Kerrville, TX; sisters, Ayda Lydia Acosta (Jose), Belia Aguilar (Pete), Cleotilde Abreo; grandchildren, Juan and Tim Vallez, Violet, Lucy, Blossom, Shelby, Selena, Summer, Oscar Escamilla lll; and 17 great grandchildren.
