Pamela Gregory Obituary

On September 27, 1943, Pamela Gregory began her Sunrise journey in Long Island, New York, where she was born to the late Odor and Alethea Gregory. She was the second of three children. She transitioned from time to eternity on January 1, 2022 in the serenity of her home.

During her Morning journey she was baptized into the body of Christ as a child and became a member of Notre Dame Church in Kerrville. For a time, she also regularly attended First Assembly of God under pastoral care, of Pastor Perkins then Pastor Phil Jackson. Pam remained active in church until failing health prevented her from continuing to do so. Pam loved the Lord and remained active in her faith.

Her Noonday journey began with education when she graduated from Doyle High School, with a high school diploma. It was after this that Pam became a mother to two daughters and was already an aunt / second mother to everybody at 329 Fifer Street.

Pam began the Afternoon phase of her life as Nurse’s Aide at the Kerrville State Hospital where she worked for 15 years before joining the staff of the Veterans Affairs Hospital for another 25 years. She had extensive experience in nursing and in the kitchen and spent 40 years doing both. Being a people person was her calling and she used her God -given gift to take care of people and animals. She was frank and always kept things on the level. There was never a question of where you stood with Pam, because she’d let you know unemphatically that it was in her heart.

During her Evening years Pam labored for the kingdom as a caretaker and retired from work in 2012. In retirement, Pam developed an avid love for animals. She, at one point had 5 dogs that she cared for, three of which she adopted. Additionally, she worked in her yard, gardening and spent time with her great -grands.

Now it’s Sunset. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Dawnyce “Renae” Scott (Ronald), who resides in Missouri City, Texas and Jennifer Gregory (Danea) who makes her home in Kerrville, Texas; one sister, Velez Gregory of Frisco, Texas; four beloved grandchildren, Jeremiah, Kendall, Irason, Ronald; four great -grandchildren, Tennyson, Jaleel, Sariyah, Kion; nieces, Addie Benson, Annette Gregory, Yvette Covington (Hardin), Opal Scott; nephews, Grippon “PeeWee” Benson (Cheryl), Brando Simpson; 18 great nieces and nephews, Bryan, Taro, Tiger, Candy, Joseph, Trey, Myles, Celica, Ottis, Teela, Lonnie, Schuylar, Moriah, Brando, Marquiese, Demetrius, Tatum, Lily; 11 great -great nieces and nephews, Michael, Demetria, Tatiana, Nico, Viviana, Amelia, Camron, Tiger, Mercedes, Madison, Kensington, Cash and 1 great-great-great niece and nephew, Jeremiah and Kamila. In addition to her parents, Pam is now enjoying the pleasures of Heaven with her sister, Geraldine Simpson, her niece, Layona Benson, her nephew, Gregory Benson, her son-in-law, Ronald Scott and other loved ones gone before.
