Paula Gonzales Trevino, known lovingly to many as Pauline, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, in Kerrville, Texas. She lived a beautiful 100 years, 5 months and 5 days.

Paula was born on January 15, 1926, in Rocksprings, Texas, to Emilio and Manuela Gonzales. She grew up on a ranch and loved telling you stories about her ranch days.

Paula later made her home in Kerrville, where she hosted many family gatherings and parties. Always had the best sweet tea and pot of beans. She worked many years at Mooney before enjoying a long career at James Avery, earning the respect and affection of her colleagues before her well-deserved retirement. Whether at work or at home, Paula approached every task with quiet determination and grace. She was known for her kind heart, her loving nature, and a strength of spirit that carried her through all of life's seasons.

Paula is survived by her daughters, Gloria and Olivia; her son, Emmett and "adopted" son Claudio. Her grandchildren, Charles, Paul Anthony, Melissa, Eric, Jennifer and Erika. Her great grandchildren TJ, Dalton, Paige,  Nicholas, Brayson, Elaina, Derick, Leanna, Ramiro, Eliseo, Anaiah, Mauricio, and Alejandro who were the center of her world, and she leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure for generations to come.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Candelario; her parents, Emilio and Manuela; her sisters, Bertha and Juanita; and her brothers, Antonio and Diego. She now rests in their company once more.

A faithful member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, Paula drew comfort and strength from her faith throughout her life. Her family finds solace in the belief that she has been welcomed into eternal peace, reunited with those who went before her.

A life spanning one hundred years is a rare and extraordinary gift. Paula filled hers with love, purpose, and an enduring commitment to family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, and she will be remembered always for the warmth and light she brought into the lives of others.
