Reyna Aguirre Obituary

Reyna Arriola Aguirre, 60, left this world peacefully on May 29, 2026, in Kerrville, Texas.

Born on August 7, 1965, in Kerrville to Rachel and Vicente Arriola, Reyna was a lifelong resident of the community she loved. She graduated from Tivy High School and began her career with Jim Morris Designs before joining James Avery, where she dedicated more than 30 years of service. During her time with the company, she worked at both the Kerrville and Comfort manufacturing facilities.

On December 24, 1986, Reyna married the love of her life, Joel Aguirre, at the home of his parents, Benjamin and Candelaria Aguirre, in Kerrville. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion. They were truly soulmates and best friends.

Reyna was feisty, authentic, and welcoming to everyone she met. She was an incredible wife, mother, and grandmother who fiercely loved and protected her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with those she loved, whether camping, fishing, or gathering around the table. An exceptional cook, she was known for her delicious potato salad, and Joel especially looked forward to her famous chicken tetrazzini.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vicente Arriola; sisters, Mary Menchaca and Ernestina Flores; and brother, Roque Arriola.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 39 years, Joel Aguirre; daughter, Crystal Castillo and husband Juan; cherished grandchildren, Annalise, Amaya, and Juan Castillo Jr.; mother, Rachel Arriola; brother, Jose Arriola; brothers-in-law, Geronimo Aguirre and wife Corrinne, and Victor Aguirre and wife Christi; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Reyna's love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family will be remembered always.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Arbor View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Kerrville, and Alamo Hospice for the exceptional care, kindness, and support they provided to Reyna and her family during her final journey.
