Ricardo Zamarripa Ramos, 64, of Kerrville, TX, passed away on March 16, 2025, at the local hospital. He was born on May 12, 1960, in Uvalde, TX, to Viviano Lopez Ramos and Valeria (Zamarripa) Ramos.
Ricardo grew up in Uvalde before making Kerrville his home 35 years ago. He worked briefly for Jenske Construction before dedicating the last 25 years of his career to the maintenance department at Kerrville Independent School District. He was looking forward to his well-earned retirement this coming September.
Outside of work, Ricardo’s passion for music led him to be part of the road crew for the Time Bandits, a beloved local band. Like many in his family, music was deeply ingrained in his heart. He was a simple, kindhearted man who cherished his family, always staying in touch, even if just by phone.
On August 9, 2003, Ricardo married Mischelle Ramos, and though their marriage did not last, they shared the greatest joy of their lives—their daughter, Keondra Ramos, whom they both deeply loved.
Ricardo was preceded in death by his parents, Viviano and Valeria Ramos; his siblings, Viviano Ramos Jr., Enrique Ramos, Camilo Ramos, and Janie Aguero; as well as beloved cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He is survived by his children, Keondra Ramos and Manuel Venzor; his sisters, Eva Ramos and Mary Ramos; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss him dearly.
Ricardo’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
