Richard “Rick” David Hines, 62, passed away on January 21, 2024, at his home in Ingram, TX. Rick was born in San Antonio on November 25, 1961, to his parents, Lois and Jack Hines. He graduated from Key West High School in Key West, FL.
Shortly after graduating from high school, Rick joined the United States Marine Corps where he served his country for 3 years. He was discharged from the military in California and quickly found his way back to his home state of Texas. He settled in Ingram where he lived his entire adult life.
Rick was known to his family as a jack of all trades, but his specialty was working on small machinery such as lawnmowers. He had a knack for collecting lawnmowers, so he always had spare parts. When he wasn't working he enjoyed fishing and hunting in the Hill Country. He will be remembered for his likable personality and how it was never hard for him to make a friend out of a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Hines, and sister, Dana Virgin.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Lois Hines; son, Steven Duglosch; granddaughter, Mackenzie; niece, Christine Sharon (her children, Jaxson, Sierra, and Madison); along with many friends.
