Robert Bernhardt Vesper born 10/12/1932 San Antonio Texas. Passed 1/27/2021. He is preceded in death by his mother Fannie Rankin, his father Christian Frank Vesper, his Step-Father, Yancy Strait Parr, his brother, Joseph Christian Vesper, and his son, Richard Steve Vesper. He will be buried at Mount Hope Cemetery in Carrizo Springs.
Survived by Sara Wray Vesper, his wife of 63 years, their daughters Kellye and Kim, and grandchildren Steven, Sterling, Rachel and Wren.
Bob enjoyed a very successful 29 year career with IBM as teacher, programmer and trouble shooter in communications. He retired after achieving the position of Consultant, which was his aspiration.
Outside of IBM Bob enjoyed the outdoors and spent his time hunting, landscaping, refinishing furniture, and working around his home. His roots were in agriculture and when daughter Kellye was in high school Bob really shined as an FFA Booster Club member…having a huge hand with livestock, showings, and fundraising.
Bob was a quiet man, humble in his words and in his ways. He was a generous man, always ready to share whatever benefit he could bring to a situation or circumstance. If you knew him well enough, he was a funny man, usually sharing a humorously rye perspective on the obvious. Bob was committed to his family, and if you were lucky enough to become a friend, you were a friend for life.
