Roy L. Price, 67, beloved husband and son passed away from this life on the evening of Oct. 23, 2024, in Kerrville. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and willingness to help others.
Born May 24, 1957 on a military base in Germany, the family returned to the US a few years after his birth.
Roy’s true joy in life, however, came from his family. He shared 7 wonderful years of marriage with his loving wife, Jessica, creating a strong and enduring partnership built on love, trust, and mutual support. Roy was an animal lover and provided a home for several special pets.
Dedicating his life as a long-haul trucker, Roy took pride in knowing all the side roads and shortcuts to save time. He found his knowledge to be helpful to family and friends on their travels as well. Being on the road so much and trying to fill the time, he would immerse himself in music, especially country music. A particular artist he came to love and enjoy was Elvis, even getting to stop and tour the famous Graceland.
Want to know what’s going on with the weather, call Roy. He had the forecast update not only on the weather but on political views too. Roy enjoyed his weekly phone calls with his dad to talk about everything or nothing at all. Roy was entertained by mowing the yard and woodworking.
Roy was preceded in death by his mother, Helga.
Survived by his wife, Jessica; parents, Carl and Darline Price; brothers, Norbert and David Price; stepsons, Scott (Carmen), Alfredo (Alexis) and Ernesto; 7 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
